With Master's degrees in both Mathematics and Computer Science, it's no wonder Julien turned to Operations Research. He dived into route optimization as an engineer during an applied research project, then in 2017 co-founded Verso where he leads the dev on Vroom, an open source solving engine for vehicle routing problems. He has been focusing on providing near-optimal solutions while enjoying very fast computing times, an ideal trade-off for real-life interactive solving and scaling purposes.
