Thiago is an Assistant Professor of Business Analytics at the University of Iowa. With academic experience at other institutions including Bucknell University and time spent in industry at companies like Petrobras and Mitsubishi, he aims to make mathematical optimization ubiquitous and more effective. In particular, he’s interested in investigating how to use theory and methods from optimization in deep learning.
